EPISODE 112 - What Do We 'Actually' Do?
Show Notes

We recently met a SIL Provider organisation in our office, who had listened to many of our podcast episodes for many months. He had come in after being referred to us from a large SDA Provider that we work with closely.

Minh and Debbie realised that this person didn't know what we at NDIS PROPERTY AUSTRALIA actually did as a business. His first question was "Are you a Provider?" in which we said 'No!' and then was asked "Are you a Developer?", again we said 'No!' Debbie and Minh looked at each other and was surprised at these two questions, but immediately realised that it can be confusing to outsiders about what our services are, given all the varied topics we covered within this podcast channel.

Maybe we shouldn't be so technical and awesome at what we say :) LOL

So, here we are today, sitting down to do this episode called 'WHAT DO WE "ACTUALLY" DO?'

With us in this episode are Heather and Robin, two new staff members starting their first day in the office, and we throw them into the deep end by ambushing them with a podcast recording! Oops!

Robin and Heather, both lovely ladies who have lived such meaningful lives so far, share  us their  reasons why they have decided to join our organisation, and to help our listeners know that everyone one of us can do much more in our community for those who are disabled.

As our branding suggests, NDIS PROPERTY AUSTRALIA, is involved in the NDIS, & PROPERTY sector, & around AUSTRALIA. Which means anything to do with NDIS dwellings, we as a business would like to become involved with, across Australia. This means 'everywhere', even the Northern Territory (shout out to David Whitelaw for dragging us up there!).

What you will hear more from us this year  will be the below disability housing topics, because they are also related to SDA, and deserve more recognition:

  • SIL housing
  • ILO housing
  • Respite accommodation (STA)
  • Transitional housing (STA & MTA)

This episode just brings everything back to the fundamentals of what we do, as a small business of 17 staff, and how we intend to use our knowledge, networks and resources to help others in this disability space, both businesses and individuals, inside and outside of the SDA space. We hope you enjoy this episode, as it gives you our listener, some exposure to our ethos, in why we do what we do!
