Whether you are listening as an Investor, Provider, Builder, Developer or Participant, we cover a wide range of topics informative to any audience. We discuss how we work with all stakeholders in sourcing and delivering new dwellings which are SDA compliant, to general information about the NDIS, and statistics about Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) in the NDIS sector. EPISODE 284 - Participant Procurement Support
In this episode, Debbie sits down with Kassy and Caitlan from our SDA Housing Assist (SHA) team to discuss our Participant Procurement support service, how we work, what we do, who we connect with and the challenges in trying to find tenants for vacant SDA properties, that come to us (after completion).
It’s important to highlight that SHA is a procurement backup support service, and its role is to try and find SDA participants for the SDA provider. It does this by trying to nudge the process along and do what no one else will do … to help find anew alternative SDA provider if the current one is not pulling its weight, or help assist a frustrated investor with finding ways to source a participant for the SDA Provider (and investor ultimately).
SHA should not be seen as a threat to any Providers; it’s meant to assist those investors with empty SDA dwellings (or potentially difficult-to-source tenants for housing). We often get approached by investors who are having trouble engaging the right provider, finding a new one, or finding an anchor tenant. This service was born out of the market demand of investors to get a second opinion on what the next steps are in finding a solution.
